These pens all use Cross refills.

 


MESQUITE
Reddish-brown with a straight grain - by far the most popular seller.
Our current Mesquite is from Valley Ranch, Tx., home of the Dallas Cowboys.
200 acres of land were cleared to build apartments in October of 1994.

 

 


PECAN
White to cream colored wood with straight grain.
This wood is from a tree which blew down in a tornado in the Meadowbrook area of Ft. Worth, April 16th, 2002.  Pecan is the state tree of Texas.

 


RED PECAN

Dark reddish-brown with grain ranging from straight to highly figured.
This is our 2nd most popular pen. 
This wood is from a tree that died at
the Colorado River in Bastrop, Tx., 35 miles east of Austin.  Pecan is the state tree of Texas.

 

 


OAK

Looks like you expect oak to look.  This wood is from a tree
blown down in a tornado in Arlington, Tx. on March 28th, 2000.

 


WALNUT
Standard walnut - consistent and steady sales.
This wood is from a tree in the Oak Cliff section of Dallas, Tx.
The tree was cut down in 1991 due to interference with a power line.

 

WE ALSO CAN MAKE PENS FROM YOUR OWN WOOD
(Family tree, ancestors log cabin, etc...)

Prices same as native Texas woods. If wood is Live Oak an additional 20% charge on the order will be applied.
